Executive Board 2011-12:

President - Jenn Hurwitz

The president shall preside and coordinate all meetings. Is responsible for signing all legal documents, including contracts; Is responsible for other duties as may be assigned to him/her by the association or school administration. Delegate the work of the association to other officers or chairmen as may be appropriate. Plan and coordinate the work of the officers and committees have planned. Oversee the executive committee and board members.


President-Elect - Mana Bhasin

The president-elect shall act as president in training; aide to the president; serve on the audit committee; preside at all meetings of the association. Perform the duties of the office of the president in the president's absence or when the president is unable to perform these duties. Must be responsible for other duties as may be assigned to him/her by the association or President.


1st VP of Membership - Jen DeFranco

The 1st Vice-President shall serve as an aide to the president and president-elect, perform the duties of the president in the absence of that officer and the president-elect.
Serve as the chairman of the membership committee. The membership committee promotes the benefits of PTA membership and is responsible for recruiting and enrolling parents, teachers, other staff, students, members of the commuity, elected officials, etc throughout the year. The board member will need to maintain membership files, have some computer experience, and will be required to meet state deadlines for submitting membership information. They also work closely with Big Tent to maintain the membership data, send electronic invitations, collect direct donations and invite new members to join the site.


2nd VP of Fundraising (Ways & Means) - Tara Patel

The 2nd Vice-President of Fundraising shall serve as the chairman of the Ways & Means committee (Fundraising); and preform such other duties as may be delegated.


3rd VP of Legislation - Gina Brinckerhoff

The 3rd Vice-President of Legislation shall serve as the chairman of the legislation committee; and perform such other duties as may be delegated. They are responsible for updating and maintaining the by-laws and standing rules of the organization.


Treasurer - Karen Stearney

The treasurer shall perform all financial management of the organization. This includes receiving all monies of this association and perform all check writing while keeping accurate record of receipts and expenditures. He/she must present a written financial statement at every meeting of the association. Provide the checkbook, all bank statements, canceled and voided checks, deposit slips, treasurer's record book and receipt book, vouchers and invoices for all disbursements to the audit committee. He/she is also responsible for completion and filing of appropriate forms as may be required by Internal Revenue Service Regulations no later than the date established by the regulations.


Secretary - Julie VanderArk

The secretary shall record the minutes of all meetings of this association, maintain a current board and membership list, conduct the official correspondence of the association as directed and perform such other duties as may be delegated.
